Hm, I don’t know, this particular article sounds sort of exaggerated?  I doesn’t seem like any politician would want to be responsible for enacting laws that effectively shut down YouTube and Flickr.  Still, even if this report is over the top — which I have no authority to claim, just a hunch — we all have to keep an eye on this sort of thing.

I think new communication technology could be a key to humanity getting its act together, but it could also be twisted into something pretty hideous if we let the wrong people take control over it.  Then again, I sort of think that no matter how powerful the resistance, the bullet’s already left this gun, and there’s no stopping us now…
