Al Jazeera English Blacked Out Across Most Of U.S. →
We Americans are giving the Egyptian government shit for trying to block information.  Meanwhile, American cable companies refuse to offer this world-renowned news source, which would be the best place on TV for us to see what’s going on over there.

hitrecord: STRONGER IN TOKYO by mellowmeful A beautiful and touching walk through Tokyo with mellowmeful. Video:  mellowmeful Music:  RegularJOE mellowmeful’s description: I chose this song because I moved here in 2006 (which is when RegularJOE wrote the song), and I felt very “sick” for a while. But I’m glad I went through that because now I’m stronger than ever. (I’m still a coward...

The Social Network & My Generation   an open letter to my friend Peter Travers  Peter,   Hey man!  So, I finally watched The Social Network the other night, and today I read your review of it, curious about your claim that this film defines my generation.  First let me say, I agree that the movie is impeccable, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I have nothing but praise and admiration for the folks...

The Circle - Mrs.  Turner’s Reading Over the summer, hitRECord put on three small shows at a bar called Piano’s in downtown Manhattan called SUMMER IN THE CITY.   My dear friend Mrs. Turner came to one and did a reading of this tiny story that evolved out of the pointed pontifications of oddTREE, which, in turn, inspired hopsketch’s perfectly plain animation. Exported...

(new orleans time) Brick Shit House.  We don’t remember exactly why we started calling it that.  1:11, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44 and 5:55 could all be called Brick Shit House.  And 11:11 was a Full Brick Shit House. Something about repetition. Ten months from now, it’s gonna be 11/11/11, and then twice that day it’ll be 11:11. Full Brick Shit House of a lifetime. RE<3
